We are currently seeing a Technical Writer, Product Management, works with producers (Product Managers, Product Leads, R&D Leads) and consumers (Professional Services, Training) of ERT software products to create technical documentation for core product releases.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with scrum teams to understand core product releases
  • Work closely with internal consumers (esp. R&D Platform Managers, Architects, Quality Assurance, and Product Management) to understand what they need to know
  • Write the following documents for core product releases:
    • Release Notes (internal)
  • Conceptual and user guides, including (but not limited to):
    • User Guides 
    • Internal / External Training Materials
    • API guides, with code samples
    • Architectural overviews
    • System / Workflow diagrams
    • Standard Work Instructions
    • Product Launch / Organizational Readiness Documentation
    • Meet document deadlines


Qualifications and Skills Needed:  

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Ability to distill complex concepts from a variety of sources into clear, usable documentation
  • Strong writing skills (grammar, punctuation, form, content, structure, etc.) and attention to detail
  • Strong technical knowledge of software, and preferably programming
  • Ability, patience, and persistence to elicit documentation requirements from
  • consumers
  • Ability and knowledge to elicit consumable information from developers
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, Agile environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (esp. Word, Excel, Visio) and SharePoint 2013
  • Experience writing in a regulated industry (e.g., Healthcare, Clinical Research) desirable
  • Experience in an Agile development environment desirable
