Responsibilities

  • Strategize with sales account teams in assigned territory to identify, qualify, and progress account-specific business opportunities
  • Develop prospective customer contacts through outbound sales prospecting calls, referrals, event attendance, and other marketing campaign activities
  • Maintain appropriate follow up with contacts (emails, info packets, repeat phone calls, etc.)
  • Develop knowledge and expertise in clinical trials industry and benefits of applying unique solutions provided by ERT
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management Database
  • Add and update opportunities as they move through the sales cycle
  • Add and update account/contact information as necessary
  • Document all planned and completed tasks
  • Run weekly and ad hoc sales management reports

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May support ERT with attendance at trade shows.
  • Support sales account teams in business-generating efforts, as needed
  • Support marketing efforts, including driving attendance to company-sponsored events
  • May provide peer review as required and needed.
  • May assist in the mentoring and training of staff.
  • Provides other support and take on other responsibilities as defined by team lead or team management.
  • Performs other duties, assignments or special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in business, communications, marketing, or a closely related field is strongly preferred. However, any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered. 
  • 1-3 years experience in progressive sales experience.
  • Pharmaceutical and/or CRO background a significant plus.
  • Experience in a fast paced, multi-task environment; ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Exceptional computer skills (MS office suite minimum).
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent personal interaction skills, professional telephone and client interaction skills.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, communication and customer skills plus the ability to work as part of a team as well as individual contributor.
