Senior HR Data Analyst

This addition to our Boston or Philly-based HR team will partner with HR directors and their client base to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. Serves as a technical point-of-contact and is subject matter expert in ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Reports and collects all data for headcount and HR reporting.



  1. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating operational performance metrics and resources. Maps metrics against the Company's operational plans and tactical/strategic goals to ensure alignment and focus.
  2. Builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
  3. Supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
  4. Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  5. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  6. Manage maintenance and accuracy of employee data for reporting and distribution. 
  7. Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements related to recordkeeping and reporting.
  8. Assist with system implementations, integration with internal and external technologies, partnering with HR colleagues to create end user training and provide ongoing technical support and maintenance. 
  9. Work closely with outsourced and third party providers to create integration and interfaces.
  10. Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train clients and end users
  11. Assist in the development of consistent and standardized processes and services. 
  12. Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including but not limited to reports such as headcount, goals and performance management, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, compensation, promotions, etc. Effectively utilize the data processing system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information.
  13. Serve as HR department liaison to Business Systems/IT function.
  14. Continually evaluates and identifies areas and processes to improve or automate.
  15. Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities. Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions. Uses these data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.


  1. Recommend policy and/or handbook changes pertaining to compensation or HRIS related items.
  2. Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  3. Communicates HRIS changes/enhancements to users. 
  4. Continually increase HRIS knowledge through participation in user groups, webcasts, trainings, etc. to ensure best practices and to keep up on current trends.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Systems, Information Technology. 
  2. 3-5 Years of related IT/HRIS experience 
  3. Experience in supporting a variety of HR applications including: payroll, time/attendance, talent management, compensation, and recruitment 
  4. Training/Experience in HRIS systems is preferred 
  5. Proven experience with a variety of HR software solutions, Oracle experience a plus 
  6. Manage operation of tasks proficiently, efficiently and with full accountability for results, primarily focusing on responsibilities of: HR technology support, maintenance and security 
  7. Experience generating reports including querying data and data manipulation.
  8. Fundamental knowledge and ability to understand technology, information systems, data, and business processes
  9. Strong interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality in all matters.
  11. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  12. Approximately 10% travel to global locations.
