  • Overview

    We are excited to open up a Sr. HR Generalist position to join the team in Philadelphia.  This position will provide tactical and consultative services for the full scope of human resources activities on site, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, engagement, employment laws and regulations and employee communications. Responsible for site-level oversight of facility needs, employee committee and events leadership, and health and safety requirements.


    In this role, you will:

    1. Guide managers and supervisors at location in appropriate and fair human resource practices. Determine and implement human resources needs in the areas of HR data management and reporting, employee relations, performance management, career development, policy administration, and employee morale. 
    2. Maintain HRIS data and personnel files, ensuring employee profile information, organizational charts, documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Maintains and updates site-level employee metrics for reporting purposes.
    3. Coordinate leave of absences and other benefit related matters for employees at assigned location. Partners with HR Business Partners, Payroll and Benefits team to administer and track leave programs including short-term disability, worker’s compensation, FMLA, and personal leaves.
    4. Facilitate new hire orientation and ensures a positive onboarding experience, including the coordination of space planning and technology needs with the hiring manager and IT team. Conduct exit interviews for employees at assigned location and processes terminations. 
    5. Communicate company policies and practices while advocating both company and employee concerns. Provide timely and creative response to all inquiries from staff and partners. Have a basic knowledge of US Employment laws (Federal & State). Help introduce or explain new or revised HR policies and/or systems; new State or Federal laws and new or revised procedures. Ensure compliance regarding all employment practices: I-9 reporting, e-verify, record keeping, EEOC compliance and reporting, and file management.
    6. Responsible for coordination of site-level facility needs including space planning, office and pantry supply vendors, and planning of site events and activities, including quarterly social hours and the annual Holiday Party.
    7. Advise managers and employees on compensation policy and practices. Coordinate job description review and grading through Compensation. Conduct internal equity analysis to determine promotional increases and salary adjustments.
    8. Lead site Wellness Committee and Social Committee, and coordinate wellness and social activities, functions, and outcomes reporting.
    9. Participate in other HR related functions, such as global new hire orientation, employee event planning, holiday party planning, training, etc.
    10. Partner with Management Site Lead to coordinate and host local and global all-hands meetings, advise on site-level facility and employee engagement decisions, and run monthly site management update meetings.
    11. Collaborate with other Generalists/Site Leads to develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR staff to educate Managers.

    Our ideal candidate will offer:



    • BS/BA degree preferably in business administration with major concentration in Human Resources or related field of study. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.


    • 5 or more years in Human Resource generalist functions, with focused experience in employee relations and compliance.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor/human resources laws and regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to influence and mediate conflict.
    • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality in all matters.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others and adapt within a dynamic work environment.
    • Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
    • Well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player willing to take on a variety of tasks to support the HR function.
    • Advanced MS Office skills including Word and Excel are required. Proficient in PowerPoint and HRIS systems required (preferably ADP and Oracle).
