    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Review and perform general accounting journal entries
    2. Perform monthly general ledger account analyses, identify and record adjustments
    3. Prepares and maintains balance sheet and bank account reconciliations
    4. Maintain the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, reconciliations and ensure all capital projects are properly recorded in the ledger.
    5. Liaison with non-accounting departments on accounting, finance and reporting related matters
    6. Review G/L coding accuracy
    7. Analyze monthly financials and explain monthly variances
    8. Ensure Intercompany activity is properly recorded and reconciled
    9. Assist with month end close process
    10. Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Other duties as assigned by the Director, Accounting.
    2. Complete special projects as requested
    3. Assist with the documentation and testing of internal controls within the accounting department function to comply with audit requirements

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

    1. 4 Year Accounting degree
    2. CPA a plus
    3. Minimum 5 -7 years accounting experience
    4. Must be able to prioritize schedules
    5. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate as part of team
    6. Ability to multi-task
    7. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
    8. Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate both verbally and through online/email methods)
    9. Excellent organizational and time management skills
    10. Detail oriented, hardworking, and accurate
