  • Overview

    ERT's US-based Instructional Designer serves as a course developer and assists with the building and maintenance of role-based curricula, including instructor-led, web-based, and eLearning courses that meet our customers’ training needs. 

     

    This role involves all aspects of course development: needs analysis, high level design, detail design, development, beta testing, finalization for production, and rollout. ERT's ID interfaces with clients as well as project teams.

     

    Note that this role may be filled anywhere in the US.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

    • Assist in developing effective and efficient customer training processes and procedures
    • Train new and existing ERT staff on customer training delivery procedures and best practices
    • Facilitate gathering customer and site training requirements for all studies
    • Create and coordinate the production of raw content to be used in the creation of eLearning, eTraining and Video-based training programs
    • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, management, and various cross-functional teams
    • Designs curriculum for specific training programs related to product, project, and protocol-specific training deliverables
    • Schedule and conduct trainings training via web
    • Design and develop new technical product training courses for customers 
    • Manage activities surrounding needs assessment, design and preparation of technical training 
    • Work with Engineering & Product Management to integrate new features/functionality into curriculums 
    • Assist with creating and managing the technical training content repository 
    • Assist with creating reproducible practices and processes to support new product launches and updates

    Qualifications

    Our ideal candidate will offer:

    • BA/BS or equivalent
    • Knowledge of eLearning solutions for software application training
    • 1-2 years of experience designing and developing technical course materials using proven instructional design methodologies
    • Experience developing content suited for multiple delivery channels (instructor-led classes, online virtual classes, and self-paced eLearning training material)
    • Ability to create and maintain multiple courses simultaneously
    • Strong training skills (i.e. is able to determine appropriate training methodology based on identified needs)
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong track record of successful cross-functional collaboration
    • Excellent decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and deliver quality results in a time-sensitive environment / Demonstrated success managing complex projects from start to finish, and working effectively with external vendors, as needed
    • Experience in creating and managing rapid training engagement processes including: adaptive training plans and timelines preferred
    • Experience in eLearning Instructional Design (ID) preferred
    • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry training methodologies preferred
    • Ability to learn technical products quickly using pre-release documentation and pre-release software preferred
    • Utilizing virtual delivery platforms such as Adobe Connect preferred
    • eLearning or training-related professional certifications are a plus
    • A track record of implementing successful global programs preferred
