    Our Boston office is looking for a Manager, IT Services.  This role will be supervising IT related Staff and Services within the local office.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Lead and manage the local IT group to:
      1. Develop and operate local IT infrastructure, ensuring that the office’s Data/Voice Networks are configured and running efficiently.
      2. Select, acquire, install and support internal efficiency and productivity systems and tools. Support groups in the implementation of these systems.
      3. Manage offsite production servers, contracts, services and hardware. Implement and maintain monitoring of server performance.  Work with Product Development on the optimization of server performance.
      4. Develop and implement Disaster Recovery plans for local systems, both internal and production.
      5. Ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. Work with ERT regulatory team to interpret regulatory requirements and determine appropriate measures to assure compliance with regulations in the most cost effective manner.
      6. Ensure reliability of system Backup / Virus scans of company computer resources. Ensure that essential data is backed-up and recoverable.
      7. In collaboration with Operations, Product Development and Finance, negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products involving all technology related needs.
      8. Oversee purchasing of new computer equipment and software. Manage tracking of local office’s computer resources.  Provide input to Finance for  budgeting of replacement systems.
      9. Manage installation of computer equipment and software.
      10. Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
      11. Monitor software and operating system updates, patches, service packs
    2. Responsible for the hiring, development, and management of local office’s IT support staff
    3. Develop and maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that all practices and procedures meet the regulatory compliance standards and Good Clinical Practices

    Qualifications


    Qualifications and Skills Needed:

    1. S. Degree in Management of Information Technology or Computer Science (or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience)
    2. Minimum of 5-7 years successful experience in a managerial IT role, preferably in a regulated environment, with demonstrated leadership ability
    3. A creative, high-energy person with “hands-on” mind-set
    4. Ability to assess the immediate business need, always keeping the loss of productivity to an absolute minimum
    5. Strong organizational, managerial, and time management skills
    6. Diplomatic interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with all levels within the organization
    7. Ability to work on multiple projects within a short time line
    8. Excellent writing and communication skills
    9. Proficiency in Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, network configuration, Email configuration. Network connectivity issue resolution, OS & software support
