    ERT - Pittsburgh is hiring for a Staff Accountant! This person will ensure the activity recorded to the G/L is accurate and timely in order to prepare financial statements.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Prepare journal entries
    2. Complete general ledger operations
    3. Prepare analysis of accounts
    4. Ensure Balance sheet and bank account reconciliations are completed accurately and timely
    5. Maintain the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, reconciliations and ensure all capital projects are properly recorded in the ledger.
    6. Review G/L coding accuracy
    7. Ensure Intercompany activity is properly recorded and reconciled
    8. Assist with month end close process
    9. Track invoices and payments associated with rebate calculation
    10. Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
    2. Complete special projects as requested
    3. Assist with the documentation and testing of internal controls within the accounting department function to comply with audit requirements

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

    1. 4 Year Accounting degree
    2. Minimum 2 years accounting experience
    3. Must be able to prioritize schedules
    4. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate as part of team
    5. Ability to multi-task
    6. Good computer skills including Excel and Oracle
    7. Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate both verbally and through online/email methods)
    8. Excellent organizational and time management skills
    9. Detail oriented, hardworking, and accurate
