Executive Director - eCOA Solutions 

 

We are currently hiring an Executive Director role to lead our eCOA solutions commercial sales function 

 

This is a Senior level position designed to maximize profit by achieving sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory, business line, etc.

 

The Executive Director role will lead a team of sales specialists to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

A key role within our commerical sales function, the Executive Director, eCOA solutions will 

Work with the business to drive sales and ensure profits exceed target by:

Sales – owns the annual global eCOA sales target.

Account Management – building strong, valued and long-term relationships with clients; ensuring client satisfaction with ERT’s eCOA services.  Includes direct account assignment and achieving sales targets in these accounts.

 

Sales Administration – managing pipeline, forecasting, planning to achieve sales and revenue targets.

Directly lead all assigned personnel in the development and growth of sales.

 

Support the Sales group with account specific planning and strategy, as well as active participation in field sales travel (up to 40%).

 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Provide input on industry trends in the field, including competition, into ERT’s marketing department as required in the establishment and growth of an enhanced marketing program.

Actively participate and provide feedback on new functionality to R&D team

Actively participate and provide feedback to Product Management (eCOA)

Actively look for opportunities to collaborate with other ERT LOBs for Complete timely and accurate administrative deliverables such as sales reports, expense reports, account planning.

Qualifications

A Senior Leadership role within our eCOA solutions, the Executive Director role requires the following

 

Education:

 

  • B.S./B.A. in Business or similar required or equivalent experience

 

Required::

  • 5+ yrs of Pharmaceutical, CRO or core laboratory sales management experience and/or customer relationship management experience from either the sponsor or services perspective
  • 10+ years of sales experience 
  • 5+ years of sales management experience  Professional Sales Training experience with a track record of developing sales individuals
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to influence and mediate conflict
  • Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality in all matters
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Salesforce.com experience

 

Preferred

 

  • Good understanding of how eCOA is used within clinical trials
  • Experience selling life science SaaS based solutions 
  • Experience in developing sales compensation plans
