Overview

Manages the overall process and/or a team of employees who complete duties related to the integration and assimilation of an acquired entity into the company.  Provide leadership and direction in the development and execution of integration strategies for an effective and smooth transition. Drive integration planning by outlining the organizational approach, tools, and processes to be used.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Collaborate cross-functionally to define an integration roadmap and communicate priorities and goals for successful post-merger and post-acquisition outcomes.
  1. Oversee people, activities and projects associated where the assimilation of practices and systems across functions using strong business acumen and awareness of key measures of business success for the assimilation is needed. 
  1. Use measurement tools and monitoring systems to determine effectiveness and success of the integration process.
  1. Identify potential study risks and mitigations, and resolve as appropriate by ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
  1. Works with management in all functional areas to monitor progress and ensure success; collaborate cross-functionally with other leaders to determine priorities and set goals.
  1. Manage internal/external negotiations and promote collaboration to foster a positive team environment, effective communications, and efficient use of resources to meet timelines and contractual obligations.
  1. Apply problem solving strategies to address customer issues and maintain issue tracking documentation to monitor progress and ensure timely resolution to customer escalations.
  1. Define and monitor performance metrics to ensure that successful integration takes place in a timely manner.
  1. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Ensure compliance with timely training completion/documentation
  1. Attend client meetings with Business Development and/or Operational teams to present Company services and Operational Data flow, as needed
  2. Partners with specialists in legal, HR, accounting, payroll, IT or other areas of the company.
  1. Perform other duties, assignments, or special projects as time and/or circumstances necessitate

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

 

  1. Bachelor Degree and/or proven demonstrated Project Management skills or experience within the industry
  2. 15+ years of experience and knowledge in project management, business processes, system analysis and IT-related projects in order to work across functional areas
  3. 7-10 years prior management experience
  4. Knowledge of the drug development process
  5. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and prioritization skills
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  1. Detail oriented and demonstrated responsiveness to inquiries and requests
  1. Valid passport and ability to travel approximately 20%
