Sales Engineer

ERT is looking to hire a Sales Engineer to serve as an expert on assigned products and services using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers. Support commercial teams with compelling demonstrations of product and services. Assist customers in applying products and services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position may support the product development life cycle for products and services.





  1. Leads customer needs analysis discussions and develops application of products and services
  2. Work with Sales Reps to qualify active leads with applicable solution, scope, targeted close dates.
  3. Develops sales presentations; maintains and evolves compelling product demonstrations, conducts web-based product seminars and leads onsite application and/or technical product demonstrations.
  4. Supports Business Development from pre-sales support through presentations and demonstrations, sandbox evaluations, and provides strategic direction on the use of technology capabilities that may enhance opportunity for contract award.
  5. Assists with completion of application and/or technical RFI/RFP responses
  6. Supports effective transition of new accounts to Delivery / Operations team
  7. Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.





  1. Travel will be required in a post-COVID-19 environment when business travel is approved

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience




  • Excellent client relationship management skills, including proficiency in all types of communication
  • Minimum of five years of previous technical sales consulting experience, with advanced training in sales skills and exposure to formal sales methodologies.
  • Proficient with technology, technical terminology and web-based applications
  • Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environment, and exposure to clinical data management and analytics applications and/or concepts
  • Experience in creating compelling demonstrations of data products
  • Knowledge of maintaining and curating databases that support product demonstrations
  • Working knowledge of data transfer technologies (e.g. APIs and sFTP)
  • Experience generating data programmatically to simulate specific product use cases.
  • Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience creating clear and usable documentation, with technical writing experience a plus
  • Experience with planning and coordinating work to meet project goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment.
  • Experience working with clinical trial or real world data is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google applications
  • Experience interacting and coordinating with remote teams or international clients a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills, experience designing / applying software solutions to business process challenges
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervisio
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, once it is safe to do so
